3. To get rid of the powerful onion smell from your hair, you may use a citrus fruit-based herbal shampoo to wash your hair. ‘’Give your hair a final rinse with rosemary and mint-infused water after your hair wash. This helps to control the pungent smell of onion in your hair,’’ says Dr. Zeel.

4. Avoid onion juice coming in contact with your eyes during the application of juice as well as the hair wash.

5. Never apply onion juice on oily or greasy hair as the juice cannot penetrate the hair and scalp tissue effectively.

Side Effects Of Onion Juice On Hair

1. Onions have a very strong smell, which may stay with your scalp and hair for 2-3 days.
